History

History

Konttila Farm represents the oldest building heritage in Kuopio and the traditional hill farm landscape, dating back to 1770. It is a former tenant farm of the vicarage, preserved in its original state with its cultivation areas and landscapes. When the buildings were transferred to the city’s ownership in the early 1980s, the structures in Antikkala were demolished, but Konttila Farm was preserved.
